Letter Five

Dear dreams,

I’ve traded you in for God’s will & plan, and so far: no regrets. I know we had a great time together, looking ahead to what car I would drive, where I would live, the money I would make, the things I would do with my life. Looking back, those were all pretty cool things. They just weren’t for the glory of God, who is worthy of much much more.

Who knows, maybe we will meet again someday, and I’ll view you in a new light, with fruit and God’s glory bursting at your seams. Probably not, but I gave you all up for a reason. I’ll be happy and joyful even if none of you come true. Probably even more.

in His grip,

Zack

PS - In case I’m supposed to write to my sleepy dreams instead, this is what’s up: Dear dreams, you are really weird and scary sometimes. I’m mostly glad that none of you are real. Sorry, it’s just the truth.
